What are some of the virtues, values or characteristics of the Star Wars Universe. I'll start with...none other than Boba Fett (sorry Daniel).

Boba Fett is ultimately selfish in wanting to hunt down anyone (including the good guys) to make some money or have some power. We like him because he looks cool and has power and strength, and he even rubs shoulders with the big guys...but bottom line is that he is not someone to look up to. Why do we admire or like the bad ones better than the good ones?

Alright, I will continue. Let's discuss Obi-Wan.

We find him a faithful Padawan in EPI and a Master in EPII. He is serious about his committment and continually reminds Anakin to be "mindful" and not so emotional. He stays true to his committment to Qui-Gon to train young Anakin. While staying true to his committment is good, we all know that the result with be disastrous. Do you think Obi Wan should have trained young Anakin? In our lives should we consider the ends to justify the means?

We admire bad guys because they're doing the stuff we're afraid to do.

And let's face it: have you seen Mark Hamel lately?

About Mark Hamill...it's called age. We don't often realize it, but we will all end up there sooner or later...ugly, fat and wrinkly. Not to say that Mark is that.

What kind of things are the bad guys doing that you wish you could do?

Have you seen Emperor Palpatine lately? It seems the dark side was not easy on his appearance. I actually think it's great that the most evil man in the Star Wars universe is also one of the ugliest. Why the emphasis on the externals?

I am not clear on your answer. Do you mean that a majority of the posts on this forum have been about the externals? And what is it that you agree with?

OK....time to be funny, here's a joke:

Where do astronauts leave their spaceships ?
At parking meteors!

See, that's why I don't try to be funny.

Would you ever have plastic surgery?

I agree! I knew we would find something to agree on.

As one wanting to make a career out of acting, don't you think you might be tempted to have a tuck here, or a correction there...especially knowing the actors around you are doing it to stay looking good? How would you resist the temptation?

um...i guessi might be "tempted"byit...but its not important to me. i'dprobably just compare the cost to the want...and myself being extremely cheap...wouldn't blow my money on it and wait for the fad to pass

So, it comes down to money. Is that why you want to be an actor, too...for the money? If cost was no object, and you had a little "want", then would you get the plastic surgery?

point 1: i do not want to be an actress for the money. yet a person has to make a living somehow. did you know tha 67.8% of waitors and waitresses are actors?
point 2: i already told you what i believe about plastic surgry...what would you do?

I would not have plastic surgery.

I was referring to "money" in the context of plastic surgery, not acting. I simply took you at your word when you said "compare the cost to the want...wouldn't blow my money on it". Based on that statement, you made money a factor in determining if you would have plastic surgery.

Would you have plastic surgery if it was free?

Alright, so it seems your standard is to not have plastic surgery, even if it was free. Why do you hold to that standard. What's wrong with having plastic surgery to improve your appearance?
